Bonnie Henry’s Health Orders Stand Trial on March 1st

The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms’ lawsuit against public health orders issued by Dr. Bonnie Henry will be heard before BC Chief Justice Hinkson on March 1–3, 2021 at the Supreme Court in Vancouver.

Erin O’Toole’s Public Perception Problem

Erin O’Toole cannot win if he stays on his current path. That’s obvious to everyone, apparently, but Erin O’Toole and the Conservative Party.

The question before us today is really quite simple.

Will the numbers released by Angus Reid today open O’Toole’s eyes or will they cause him to double-down on his failed strategy?

The future of Canada will be determined by the Erin O’Toole’s answer to that simple question.

Parliament Talks Smuggled Guns and Mandatory Minimums

Parliament resumed this morning and MPs from across the country were chomping at the bit to make their first speeches on Bill C-238 in the House of Commons.

Here are some of the highlights and lowlights via the Hansard for Monday, January 25, 2021.

BC Premier Horgan Obeys One Section of Charter While Happily Violating Another

If seeking a legal opinion before deciding whether or not you would violate our mobility rights was so darned important, why didn’t you seek a legal opinion before violating our religious freedoms as defined in Section 2 of the Charter?

Why do you continue to allow the High Priestess of COVID to violate the religious rights of British Columbians?

NFA Talk – Remembering Dennis R. Young

Last night the NFA invited Tony Bernardo, the Executive Director of the Canadian Shooting Sports Association, and me to remember Dennis Young and discuss how his work will move forward now that he’s placed that torch into my hands.

Erin O’Toole: Your Hypocrisy is Showing

“Erin O’Toole is outraged that anyone would accept donations from this individual and will be looking into the matter,” cried Cory Hann, the Party’s communications director.

Mr. O’Toole’s outrage aside, it seems pretty clear the new leader of the Conservative Party leader leaked the information and then pounced on the ‘opportunity’ to ‘cleanse the Party’ prior to its upcoming policy convention.

Alcoholic Cop Anita Doktor Finally Hit Rock Bottom

On June 1, 2018, RCMP Corporal Anita Doktor got drunk and drove her RCMP-issue Ford Escape to a Mac convenience store in High Prairie, Alberta.

When RCMP constables arrived to investigate, Corporal Doktor was angry, belligerent and generally abusive to her fellow RCMP members.

Instead of criminal charges for pointing a firearm without lawful excuse (Section 87 of the Criminal Code), Constable Roesler was fined 15 days pay, ordered to complete counselling and transferred to another detachment.

Two Canadian Would-Be Gun Smugglers Busted in Minnesota

Note to OTHER potential gun smugglers:

When driving down an American highway on your way back to Canada with a truck full of illegal guns, you probably don’t want to get high and break the speed limit.

Just sayin…

Edmonton Police Officer will not face charges for Negligent Discharge

On June 7, 2019, an officer with the Edmonton Police Service committed a negligent discharge of their service pistol at the William Nixon Training Centre but will not face criminal charges.

Crown prosecutors decided not to lay charges against the Edmonton police officer because “it was not in the public interest.”

Would a mere citizen who committed a similar negligent discharge be granted the same lenience?

Singapore Police can now access data from Singapore’s TraceTogether COVID Contact Tracing App

On January 4, 2021, Desmond Tan, Minister of State for Home Affairs, revealed that contact tracing data from TraceTogether, Singapore’s COVID Contact Tracing App, is available to police.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) is empowered under the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) to obtain any data, and that includes the TraceTogether data, for criminal investigations.

Did Navdeep Bains Quit or did Justin Trudeau Force Him Out?

On January 11, 2020, Navdeep Bains – the former Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry – resigned his cabinet post. Bains also announced he would not run in the widely anticipated spring pandemic election.

With no election officially in sight and a Liberal Party actively seeking candidates to run in the next campaign, why would Bains bow out?

My guess is Navdeep Bains was forced out by the Prime Minister so Bains’ growing legal challenges can’t tarnish the Trudeau brand.

Mozilla Foundation CEO: De-Platforming You is Not Enough

If your politics are anything but far-left, The Mozilla Foundation, creators of the FireFox web browser and the Thunderbird email client, despise you and everything you say.

Removing you from social media platforms is not enough. They want to utterly destroy your online presence so nobody will ever hear your WrongSpeak again.

Singapore Bans Possession of 3D Gun Blueprints

On January 5, 2021, Singapore’s Parliament passed Bill No. 44/2020, Guns, Explosives, and Weapons Control Bill, which makes possession of 3D gun blueprints a criminal offence without a licence.

New Zealand’s Proposed Firearm Prohibition Order System Gets It Right

“Firearms Prohibition Orders (FPOs) would give police greater powers to take firearms of violent criminals. This is a sensible piece of legislation that would go some way to keeping the public safe, but the Government continues to refuse to support it.”

Simeon Brown has a valid point.

After reading his proposed legislation, I don’t understand why the New Zealand government opposes Arms (Firearms Prohibition Orders) Amendment Bill (No 2) either.

15 Signs of an Abusive Relationship: Government Edition

If your government tells you not to see your friends and family, you’re in an abusive relationship with your government.

If your government says you cannot attend worship services at your local church, mosque or synagogue, you’re in an abusive relationship with your government.

When did Defending Our God-Given Rights Become Unacceptable?

A recent comment on one of my commentaries about Dr. Bonnie Henry, British Columbia’s High Priestess of COVID, forced me to take some time to think about my approach to defending our God-given rights.
